Mai in Vancouver anstehenden Dokumentarfilmfestivals DOXA näher. „LoveMEATender“ nimmt die teilweise grausamen Zustände der Fleischindustrie in Belgien und Frankreich unter die Lupe. „United States of Africa“ handelt von senegalesischen Rappern, die als gemeinsames Ziel haben, Afrika zu vereinen. In der deutsch-italienischen Co-Produktion „Italy – Love it or Leave it“ reist ein schwules Pärchen durch Italien, um festzustellen, ob sie weiterhin dort leben wollen oder ob sie nach Berlin umziehen sollen.
Beim Countdown für das Calgary Stampede Centennial haben wir ein interessantes Interview mit der amtierenden “Indian Princess” Amelia Crowshoe geführt, die uns Einblicke in die verschiedenen Kulturen des Festivals und ihre persönlichen Erfahrungen mit der Calgary Stampede gewährt. Außerdem unterhielten wir uns mit Bruce Graham, dem Präsidenten und CEO des „Calgary Economic Development“ über die boomende Wirtschaft Calgarys und die wichtigen Kontakte zum Exportweltmeister Deutschland. Das Hotel Arts verbindet auf einzigartige Weise die Atmosphäre der Contemporary Art mit dem Flair eines charmanten Hotels. Fraser Abbott von der Hotel Arts Group berichtet uns über das Konzept des Hotels im Herzen Calgarys.

Wine enthusiast and expert John Hayto takes a walk with us through the Exposition and tries his favorite wines. The popular event exists since 1979 and this year 180 wineries represent over 1,700 different wines at the festival.
Our Creative Producer Katja De Bock presents her three favorite films of the upcoming documentary film festival DOXA. “LoveMEATender” shows the poor conditions in the Belgian and the French meat industry. “United States of Africa” deals with the story of Senegalese rappers who chase for their common goal, to unite Africa. “Italy – Love it or Leave it” tells the story of a gay couple travelling through Italy to find out if they should stay in Italy or move to Berlin.
